Shalom,

It is hard to believe that twelve days have already come and gone since beginning this working visit with our CHLF brothers and sisters laboring in Israel. I hope this eReport doesn't come across as a 'travel blog', but there have been some remarkable events during these days that have genuine news value, and I want to share them before they are blurred by the passage of time and the undiscovered remarkable events waiting for us over the next several days.

Also, don't forget that Saleem and Andera will be back in the States later this month. If you are going to be near East Tennessee on Acco Towerthe 25th, please make your reservations now for their presentation at the Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City. You can download the details from the ESR website by clicking here. They will also be in Phoenix for a couple of events that weekend, then back to Louisville for the North American Christian Convention and then to Indianapolis before heading home.

FYI... as I am sitting at my laptop writing this eReport I'm enjoying a wonderful view of Nazareth, but also listening to the air-raid sirens. You can read more about that below.

To read about the events of the past few days, you can click on the links in the column to the right to jump directly to the local stories behind the headlines. Or just refill your coffee cup and start reading.

P.S. By the way, we apologize for the email problems we've been having at CHLF.org. We have changed vendors and believe those to be solved. We've also made some changes on the website at www.CHLF.org that make signing-up for newsletters easier, we added some better video clips, and hopefully the changes will help you in finding the information you may need.

Communion in a synagogue

It is always a joy when we can meet with Americans who are touring the Acco TowerHoly Land. Such a meeting yesterday (Monday) resulted in a really unique experience as we all shared the Lord's Supper in a recreated first-century synagogue at Nazareth Village (R).

The group of some 80 pilgrims from Christ's Church of the Valley (Phoenix/Peoria) was led by Don Wilson and gathered in the replicated worship center to meet the CHLF Team, and to worship and fellowship with their new-found friends in Acco TowerIsrael.

The Team distributed the juice in olive wood cups and fresh baked bread to the CCV visitors (L).

It was a moving experience that concluded with the entire group gathering around the Team and praying for their ministry.

It is so important for groups coming to Israel to remember that there are still 'Living Stones' in this land, and if all you get to experience are all the old dead stones, then you and your brothers and sisters living in Israel have suffered a great loss.

We appreciate the time the CCV group took to allow us to minister to them on their journey, and to minister back to us with their prayers, and with their continuing partnership with the CHLF Team.

(As soon as we get time to put it together, we'll post a video of this service on our website at www.CHLF.org. Please check there in a day or two.)
